Though it is really sad that the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I am very thankful for everything. Alhamdulillah. Happy Eid’l Fitr! May Allah (S.W.T.) shower us His blessings and may He grant us the next Ramadan.

People say to you, ‘you’ve changed’, or something like that, well, I hope, for the sake of God that you have changed, because I don’t want to be the same person all my life. I want to be growing. I want to be expanding. I want to be changing. Because animate things change, inanimate things don’t change. The heart should be alive, it should be changing, it should be moving, it should be growing, its knowledge should be expanding.

Hi! Finally I met you kanina. I was like "nosebleed" everytime you speak in English. First time I get nosebleed, when you talk infront of us in Flag Ceremony. And second one is nung English time. Haha! Dalubhasa ka na talaga sa pag eenglish. 😹😹😹

Hahaha. Ilista na yaaaan! Jk! Pero thank you so much. Ang welcoming niyo talaga. Magaling ka rin naman. Nagimprove lang ako. 😂😊

Bye Iowa! :’( ✈ (at Chicago Midway International Airport)

I love this town! It’s a blessing spending my remaining days here. Full of nice people! I love my HF. They’re incredible! They love food and so do I. Perf! ❤ My host mom is a pastor in united Methodist church and my host dad works at John Deere. I was surprised how much knowledge my host dad have about Islam. He’s reading the Qur’an. World Religion is his passion. He is also learning how to read Arabic. He even made presentations about Islam here in Jefferson. Rahaf, Rubab, and the Poulsens made a change in this small community by breaking Islamic stereotypes or at least People here have now a better understanding towards Islam.

Jefferson, Iowa is known for their Bell tower. They just celebrated the Bell Tower Festival last Friday and Saturday. It’s a town of more than 5000 people.

I’ve met a Filipino guy here. Guess what, he’s from Iligan! Lol. What funny is that we are trying to talk to each other in Tagalog but we keep speaking English. 😂

Every year during the bell tower festival, the town is awarding a person that has many good contributions in the community. This year, it was given to Dr. James Hanson! Such a bright man! Can’t even enumerate his achievements. I just love love love him! He made a wonderful speech! Hilarious but full of wisdom. He gave the audience 3 advices: Aim high, don’t be afraid of change, and never quit! ❤❤❤ he and his wife, Elizabeth have been to the Philippines years ago and they’re telling me how much they love the Filipinos.

I can’t even…. I have so much to say but I’ll just leave it here. Good night! 😂

Hi again 😄 I was the anon that asked you what school are you from. I just would like to ask how was your experience being a exchange student 😃

Assalamu Alaykum!

Well, my experience as an exchange student is, as of now, the best and the worst happened in my life. I don’t know how exactly I would explain it. All I can say is it’s amazing, challenging, exciting, and life-changing! Alhamdulillah.

We can have a coffee and a snack and talk about it if you want. 😊
